  • Extensive Scope: Rehabilitation of approximately 22 miles of force mains across 15 lift stations throughout Gilbert.
  • Comprehensive Approach: Included condition assessment, evaluation of repair methods, and implementation of various rehabilitation techniques.

  • Competitive Bid Win: Awarded through competitive bid with Caliente Construction under City of Tempe General Construction Services JOC.
  • High Self-performance: Self-performed over 87% of the project work.
  • Manhole Replacement: Removed and replaced three deteriorated concrete manholes on 24” and 30” sewer lines with two new 72” and 96” corrosion-resistant Armorock Polymer manholes.
  • Hydraulic and Odor Improvements: Enhanced hydraulic characteristics and minimized foul odors on the sewer line.
  • High-traffic Area: Project located at the intersection of Hardy and 17th Place near ASU campus.
  • Sewer Bypass Systems: Installed two sewer bypass systems on 30” and 12” lines, including 24/7 pump-watch, entirely self-performed.
  • Traffic and Public Coordination: Collaborated with City of Tempe for traffic control planning and public outreach, communicating construction impacts to adjacent homeowners.
  • Additional Work: Included pavement removal/replacement, storm drain re-routing, CCTV inspection, air testing, and striping replacement.
  • Timely Completion: Completed the project in less than three weeks to meet holiday traffic restriction requirements.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS


  • Emergency Response: Engaged under Town of Gilbert's emergency procurement JOC due to 18” DIP wastewater forcemain failure.
  • Immediate Mobilization: Deployed crews, equipment, and materials within hours, working continuously for 36 hours.
  • Stabilization and Bypass: Stabilized the failure site and implemented a 4,100-foot high-line sewer bypass to prevent overflow at Islands Lift Station.
  • Condition Assessment: Performed condition assessment of the forcemain while bypass was in place.
  • Collaboration: Assisted Town and Hazen Engineering with developing a permanent repair solution.
  • Permanent Solution: Trenching and installing a permanent parallel 18” HDPE forcemain across McQueen Road.
  • Redundancy and Future-proofing: Designed the new setup to handle existing flows and provide future redundancy.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS


  • Collaborative Project: Partnered with Insituform Technologies on a Design-d-Build project for the City of Tempe.
  • Scope of Work: Managed sewer bypass pumping, sewer point repairs, manhole inserts, reconstructions, and traffic control across multiple city locations.
  • Challenging Bypass Operation: Self-performed a complex sewer bypass at Kyrene & Guadalupe Rd. intersection, a critical area in Tempe.
  • Bypass Specifications: Designed for a flow rate of 10 million gallons per day (MGD) with a suction lift of 22 vertical feet.
  • Technical Expertise: Addressed limited Net Positive Suction Head Available (NPSHA) for the pumps, showcasing advanced engineering capabilities.
  • Key Contributions: Team members were instrumental in the design, calculations, and submittals for the successful 36” Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) installation.

  • Subcontracted Project: Worked under a General Contractor for the Peoria Logistics Park, a 158-acre industrial park in southern Peoria, Arizona.
  • Cost: $1.425 million.
  • Market: Site Utilities.
  • Strategic Location: Near Loop 101 and Grand Avenue (US 60), with easy access to major interstates and 6-9 miles from I-10.
  • Site Readiness: Shovel-ready with existing infrastructure and zoning for industrial use, suitable for semiconductor facilities.
  • Scope: Onsite and offsite utility installations and asphalt improvements for a 155,000 SF tilt-up, build-to-suit distribution facility.
  • Utility Infrastructure: Water, sewer, gas, electric, and communication services adjacent to the property, provided by City of Peoria, Southwest Gas, and CenturyLink.
  • Water Line Installation:
  • Installed 5,361 feet of 4", 6", and 8" DIP.
